Rev. Samuel Weddington
Pastor Sam was born in Kentucky, USA, and lived most of his life in Virginia. A graduate of Berea College, he attended Union Theological Seminary where he met his wife, Grace, and received an M.Div. focused on Theology, as well as receiving a fellowship to study Theology in the Ph.D. program. Grace also received her M.Div. from Union Theological Seminary, focusing on Old Testament as well as receiving a fellowship to study in the post-graduate program.
However, Pastor Sam’s father fell ill with cancer, and so Sam and Grace left the program to take care of his father.During this time, Pastor Sam served Douglas and Bethlehem Presbyterian Churches in Farmville, VA (outside Richmond) as a solo pastor. His wife Grace served Brown’s Presbyterian Church in Cumberland, VA as stated supply.
The Weddington family moved to Seoul Korea in March, 2011 to begin their new ministry journey at PCL. Pastor Sam loves preaching and building relationships with people. He also is a computer enthusiast during his spare time. When asked what his greatest ministering assets were, he replied “My two secret weapons are my children, Sammy and Youngji”… everyone agrees.

Ji Sun has a passion for working in English ministry, especially when it is geared towards children. Ji Sun joins us as a Christian Educator, and it is my prayer that she will continue to develop her marvelous skills into becoming the best at English Children’s Ministry in Korea. She is currently helping us to design our Wednesday night service, our Sunday morning classes for children, as well as other projects.
Ji Sun is currently applying for admission to Torch Trinity Seminary to pursue a Master’s of Arts degree in either Christian Education or Christian Counseling.
