We continue to develop and grow into our new worship project for kids. We have been very successful due to God’s blessings. We are averaging 80 children a night, and all seem to be blessed by the program. We will continue to move forward with God’s help and the faithful service of our volunteers. We meet every Wednesday night at 7:30 in the Sarang Namu room in the basement. You can see signs posted when you come into the church. Samheung School Outreach: We /heart You!
This past Sunday, February 19th, our team of volunteers headed out directly after service to do our monthly outreach with the children of the Samheung school (a school for North Korean refugee children and orphans). We held a Valentine’s Day party for them. We helped the kids create their own Valentine’s Day cards while they ate more candy than a child should be allowed to consume! The center of our visit, however, was our domino pattern event. Armed with 4,000 dominoes of various colors, we helped the kids create several patterns that would collapse to make a message. The kids had a wonderful time! Our next trip will be on Sunday, March 18th, 2012. The team has been formed, but there is always room if you would like to join.
